Opportunities to help others
- L.A. Veteran's Quilt Project ~
Make a quilt for a wounded veteran from the Iraq and
Afghanistan wars. We want to thank them for their service by providing each
veteran a new home made quilt when they register for medical services on
their return home to the Greater Los Angeles Area.
- Pay It Forward (PIF) ~
PIF blocks are donated in response to a particular challenge and made into
quilt tops. The completed quilt tops are then donated to the L.A.Veteran's
Quilt Project, where they are then quilted and completed and given to
wounded vets from Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

- Foster's Children Resource Center ~
Guild members make quilts and sew together
pillowcases for the children to keep, for use as a pillow cover or for a
place to keep their personal items. Fabrics to make the quilts and
pillowcases are donated by local quilt and fabric shops. The fabrics are then
selected, cut and placed into quilt and pillowcase kits which
are available at the monthly VQG meetings. Guild members also collect new,
packaged undergarments and travel-size toiletries so the kits can be
assembled for each child on a regular distribution. For information click here. .
